Ken Kinsley started Kinsley Equipment in his Springfield, MA garage over 60 years ago. Ken believed in treating customers by the “Golden Rule”: treat others as you’d like to be treated. His virtues-based, humanistic approach continues to fuel the company’s growth.

Kinsley grew from a small garage operation into a leader in power solutions built on trust and a focus on customer needs. Kinsley Energy Systems, founded in 2010, now leads the way as in tackling the power and energy challenges of tomorrow through new technologies and innovative solutions all while remaining true to our foundational values of service and integrity.

Kinsley began in 1964 when Ken Kinsley started a construction and industrial equipment business out of a garage. By 1984, the company had shifted its full focus to power systems, laying the foundation for decades of energy expertise.

In 2010, under the leadership of David Kinsley, Kinsley Energy Systems was established to expand into clean and resilient energy solutions. As we look to 2025 and beyond, we remain committed to our core values while embracing emerging technologies to drive innovation and shape the future of power.
